Creating hits armed with a Dictaphone for melodies, iPod for inspiration and pen and notebook for lyrics, Gaurika Hayer is a pop-rock singer-songwriter, most similar to Pink, Avril Lavigne and Kelly Clarkson. Michael Jackson, Madonna and Elton John are also inspirations.
Gaurika has worked with some of the music industry’s leading producers such as David Frangioni, known for his work with Santana, Rolling Stones and Elton John among others, and Pete Wallace whose production roster includes Pink, Jessica Simpson and Julio Iglesias.
Alongside
Great musicians have also played alongside Gaurika such as Mark Hudson (Celine Dion, Bon Jovi, Cher, Ozzy Osbourne, Boyzone and Leann Rimes) and Rudy Perez (Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Il Divo, Michael Bolton). Solo artist Jon Secada provided backing vocals on Gaurika’s song “Stronger”.
London gigs include Madam Jojo’s cabaret club in Soho, the Roundhouse in Camden, the Cedar Room in London’s Islington, plus private gigs at Kensington Hotel and St James’ Hotel, Jermyn Street, London.
Gaurika managed to secure herself a showcase at Selfridges during December, a previously unheard of accomplishment for a new independent artist.
Position
Gaurika has had plays on BBC radio and made charity appearances in Chelmsford and Meadowhall, Sheffield, alongside X Factor finalists. One of her songs was placed on Popworld Promotes, holding number one position for the first 3 weeks and finishing at number two in the competition.
The album ” Rise Again” featuring the single ” Caught in the Act” will be released on 24 November 2014 with distribution from Universal Music Operations. Also featured on the album is a tribute to Nelson Mandela called “I Walk On”, which featured in her recent live session and interview broadcast.
