Phil Gregory Releases Brand New Single Dedicated to New Love found in the time of Corona – Nowhere For Our Love to Hide
Phil Gregory releases a brand new single, hot off the success of his previous album Good Intentions released earlier in 2020. Good Intentions was Phil’s first foray back into the music scene after many years and it proved a major success for him with charts and playlists from as far and wide as South Africa and the UK. The first single ‘Names’ off Good Intentions charted on Mix FM and was praised by local Djs. His second single Tell The Truth also enjoyed great airplay and attention.
When the CoronaVirus hit in 2020, Phil was locked down in the UK and decided to use his time for good. The brand new single ‘Nowhere For Our Love To Hide’ is the result. The single is about finding “True Love”.
It was inspired by the Covid lockdown in the UK and people’s inability to visit other households for 12 weeks. Just ahead of the rules being applied, couples had to make quick decisions on whether or not they would commit to being together through lockdown by moving in together or face 12 weeks of FaceTime or phone calls only. In this instance I imagined a guy who up until that point had been reluctant to commit, deciding on 12 weeks make or break, only to discover that he had been denying himself the true love that was sitting under his nose already.
“When Billy & I wrote the track we wanted it to represent something positive coming out of Covid / lockdown, and is in our opinion cheerful, upbeat and hopefully uplifting for all those who have found new love during lockdowns all over the world. I hope people will like it, and take the positives from it”, says Phil.
The song was written in collaboration with Bill Gregory and recorded at Old Chapel Studios UK. Featuring: PG Vocals, Billy Gregory Guitars & Backing Vocals, Harry Knowles Guitars & Backing Vocals, Paul Evans Drums, Dan Wheeler Guitars.
The lyric video was conceptualised and created by Tickybox Media –
