Even Beyonce needs her vocal rest.
The R&B superstar, who turned 35 on Sunday (04Sep16), has postponed her upcoming Formation World Tour date in New Jersey so she can take a longer break from the stage.
Doctors have reportedly told her to rest up and so the MetLife Stadium gig, scheduled for later this week (07Sep16) will now take place in October (16), according to a statement released on Monday (05Sep16).
But fans needn’t worry – Queen Bey will only sit out one show. The tour will resume in St. Louis, Missouri on Saturday (10Sep16), and shows in Santa Clara, California and Beyonce’s native Houston, Texas, scheduled for later this month (Sep16), will go ahead as planned.
The trek kicked off in Miami, Florida in April (16) and took Beyonce oversees to Europe, where she performed for over 75,000 fans at a show in Paris, France on 21 July (16).
The R&B superstar wrapped up the second leg of the tour on 3 August (16) and spent the rest of the month vacationing with her husband Jay Z and their daughter Blue Ivy.
She celebrated her birthday on Sunday at the rap mogul’s Made in America festival in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where Chance The Rapper and Coldplay celebrated her 35th from the stage.
Her Formation World Tour was originally slated to conclude in Nashville, Tennessee on 2 October (16). The rescheduled date means she will now wrap up the shows five days later on 7 October (16).
