Raised in Soweto, JHB and now living in Pretoria, Thabo Mololeki – stage name Shwaam has met with tragedy and passion to find his true calling in life.
A vocalist, song writer, producer and ex keyboardist, Shwaam’s focus is on creativity, innovation and pushing the boundaries on each new musical release.
A full time student at Emendy studying Music Technology, Shwaam is about to release his solo debut single – the hooky Rnb tinged Assassin. Shwaam was hit by a stray bullet in 2017, a tragedy which would end his love for keyboarding. “I stayed at home but I had enough time to write songs and produce them with the time I had while still recovering from the bullet wounds”.
Shwaam’s music is influenced by the events that transpire around him. “I listen to any kind of music, I am open-minded, but my favourite genre is RnB and hip hop. My musical idol is Ne-Yo, I look up to him, and my favourite musical influences are Chris Brown, Trey Songz, and Usher, to name the few.
My goal in the music industry is to build a reputation of good music and energetic performances, innovation and creativity.
